Help Us Reach Our Goal!

ThermometerWhen we set out to start the Eastern Further Women’s Leadership Scholarship, we set out sights high, planning to raise $10,000 in the first year. That sum is significant because it would allow us to endow the scholarship and award approximately $500 do a deserving student each year. We’re not there yet, but we aren’t even close to finished trying. We’ve got a team of EKU students and alumni headed to Orlando, Florida next week who will be running in a half marathon to draw attention to this scholarship fund. What could better fuel us across the finish line than to know that we’ve been successful in helping Eastern? We need your help in reaching one quarter of our total goal before we depart. As of the afternoon of February 14th, that’s $875.00 to go.

Here is how you can help today:

1) Make a donation of whatever size you can. If this cause speaks to you at all, we hope that you will support it financially to whatever extent makes sense for you. Whether it’s $5, $50, $500, every bit counts! You could also consider the very apropos donation size of $13.10…one dollar for every mile of our race!

Instructions for donating can be found here, and *remember* that you have to designate your donation to the Eastern Further Women’s Leadership Scholarship.

2) Share this link on your social media accounts. This is important! We are still working to spread the word about The Eastern Further Women’s Leadership Scholarship. Let your friends know why this is a cause you support, and help us make sure that our message is reaching the right folks.

3) Send a email to a friend. Since this is a grassroots fundraising effort, word of mouth is our best tool for connecting with other Colonels who want to support this scholarship. If you think that someone you graduated with from your sorority, student organization, major, or other Eastern connection is likely to be interested in the cause of women’s leadership, you could help us immensely be reaching out to them.

We sincerely thank you for all of your help and support!
