Why I’m Running:

I run to think and to feel.

Running allows you to connect with yourself and remove the distractions from everyday life. It allows you to shift your focus to the wind in your hair and the sun on your face. Running allows you to feel your body and recognize your limits.

It is about goal setting, dedication and perseverance. Running is a test of character and strength; every time I start a run I am striving to run faster, run farther and push myself harder.

To call oneself a runner is to identify with a group of athletes who are strong in mind and body. We go to battle each time we set out; we battle the elements, our thoughts, our bodies and sometimes each other.  The times you’d rather not run are always the times to do it, if you can run a mile you can run twenty. Just remember, running is a mental battle, when you think you can’t possibly go one more lap you can. The determination is within you, you just have to be hungry for success.

To run is to empower.

I hope that through this movement you’ll find inspiration from our stories. We are Colonels and together we can get there from here!!
